After moving away from the thrash metal genre with their previous album, “St. Anger,” the band marked their return to their thrash metal roots with the release of this album.
The album “Death Magnetic” was a commercial success, since it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and has sold over six million copies all over the world. The album also garnered positive reviews from the majority of music critics.
